Shortlists and notes

Saved businesses, your list name, care preferences, and personal notes are stored in this browser. A shared shortlist link contains only public business IDs. It does not include your notes, name, contact details, or vehicle condition. Anyone with the link can see those businesses.

Use Clear private notes on the shortlist page to remove notes. Clear list removes saved businesses. You can also clear this site's browser storage. Local notes are available to anyone using the same browser profile.

Preparing a request

The request builder keeps your notes and photos in the current page until you choose an action. Copying a brief puts the text on your clipboard. Prepared photos are re-encoded locally as JPEGs with embedded source metadata removed. Downloading them does not send them to a detailer.

Opening a business website takes you to that business's service, with its own privacy practices. You choose what to paste or attach there.

Sending to a business inbox

Where a verified business opts in, you can explicitly send your name, email, vehicle, goal, timing, and request text to its private Detail Atlas inbox. Other businesses cannot read the request. Photos are not included in inbox requests. A saved inquiry is not a confirmed appointment.

Requests expire after 90 days and scheduled cleanup removes the expired records. An authorized business member can remove a request sooner. Contact the receiving business about your request or its removal. We do not sell request contact details or broadcast the request to businesses you did not choose.

Basic activity counts

We count selected searches, profile views, and outbound contact actions to understand whether listings help customers. The event payload includes only the event name and a public business ID where applicable. It excludes search text, exact location, notes, email, phone, and the full page URL.

Our infrastructure processes connection information to deliver requests. A daily keyed hash of the connection address limits abuse; raw IP addresses are not stored in activity tables. Daily counts are retained for up to 90 days. These are observed actions, not unique people, confirmed leads, or bookings.

Directory operator

A Rio Detailing owns Detail Atlas. Listing corrections can be submitted from each business profile. Ownership disputes and publication changes require operator review.
